One of the key moments of every high-school experience is attending the Homecoming Dance. This year, Gilmer High is hosting “The Greatest Homecoming on Earth”, a carnival themed dance for students. Unlike prom, underclassmen can join in the festivities and bring a date (dates must be from Gilmer High School, students from other schools are not allowed to attend). This event will take place inside the GHS gym on September 17th (Saturday), and is from 7:00pm-11:00pm. Dress code is formal wear, but due to the gym floor only sneakers/flats/sandals can be worn! The ticket into the dance is your shoes, so if you are not wearing the right attire (ex. shoes with heels, boots) you will not be allowed to enter. Admission to this event, and all other activities/refreshments inside, are free. For those wanting pictures, a professional photo booth will be at the dance; pictures can either be immediately printed off or there is the option to post directly to your social media accounts. Popcorn and drinks will also be given out throughout the night. If you are interested in dancing the night away with your friends and being a part of the largest homecoming Gilmer High has ever hosted, then bring your date and join the party!!!
