The senior and junior floriculture teams placed second and will go to state at Fort Valley in Febuarary. The senior team members were: Omar Raymundo, Brentney Clemmons, Madison Jenkins and Elizabeth Stillwell. Omar placed second overall. The Agriculture Sales team placed 2nd and will also be going to Fort Valley. These team members are Shelby Merrell, Kaitlyn Bryan, Chloe Hensley and Nathan Cain. In the Ag Sales CDE each member has a different scenerio that they present infront of judges. They have different equipment they are trying to “sell” to their judge.
The Agriculture Communications team placed 3rd. The team members were Megan Bird, Destiny Weaver, Grace Kruse, and Kaytlin Beavers. A team of four members will have their skills challenged in all areas of the agricultural communications field. Team members will attend an actual news conference and then use the information gathered to complete individual practicums in web design, video production, journalistic writing, and opinion writing. Each team member will also complete an editing exercise and a general communications quiz.
We are so proud of the hard work these individuals have put into their contest. We look forward to seeing what each team accomplishes at state.
